Current Favs: Star Wars Edition

Well, my last post lamented that we still didn't have a trailer for the Solo movie... and now we finally do!

As some of us predicted, they ended up waiting to reveal the first teaser until the Super Bowl. I think that is really cool, even if it was only basically a trailer for a trailer. And then the next day, they hit us with another, fuller trailer. Finally! I'm very excited to see the movie, but I am concerned that it took this long to get any sort of trailer (what does that mean? why weren't they trying to hype us up much earlier?). This was one of the bigger mysteries in my life recently, well that and knowing whether or not Kylie Jenner was pregnant. Suffice it to say, Sunday was a big day for me.

So, in the spirit of all things Star Wars, I bring to you today a list of my current favs (articles, videos, and of course things to buy!) in the SW world. Enjoy!

1. #Reylo // 75% of what I retweet on a daily basis

Okay, so I really liked The Last Jedi. In particular, I reallllllly liked any scene featuring Rey & Kylo Ren. And, until I can watch the blu-ray again and again, I have to get my #Reylo fix on Twitter. There are a few accounts I follow that make me cackle and/or cry. My personal favs are darth revan and especially Emo Kylo Ren (currently he is very pissed at all the Solo movie stuff  😂)

2. Wearing Hope on my Sleeve // Lillian & Co.

I won't bore you with more gushing for my fav bracelets, but I'm in love with the Galaxy collection from Lillian & Co. They come with special edition packaging and you can even get them in matte finish if your little heart desires! Plus, these make good guy gifts too (I find all of their bangles to be unisex, but what guy could deny a Han Solo quote on a matte cuff?!) **Make sure to use my discount code WISH10 to save 10% on all orders!**

3. Star Wars: Galactic Nights returns! // May 27th @ WDW

This special event hosted at Hollywood Studios at WDW returns later this spring! I was not lucky enough to attend this past December, but from the photos around the 'gram, it looked amazing! If the Star Wars fireworks & Launch Bay are any indication, Disney knows how to immerse us in the world of SW. I won't be attending in May, but I hope you can! Keep an eye out, tickets will be available for the May event soon.

4. Come to the Bright Side... we have merch // PLM

Pretty Little Monograms is and has been one of my favorite small shops since the very beginning! If you don't know about them (and who are you?), they sell Disney-inspired apparel, usually featuring monograms, bright colors, and original artwork. My favorite pieces from them are the amazing (and affordable!) rain jackets and their popover sweatshirts. It's the perfect blend of preppy & Disney... and who doesn't love a good monogram?

Anywho,  last year they debuted a Bright Side collection, inspired by the galactic saga of course, land rumor is that it is restocking in the near future! The collection last year included leggings, sweatshirts, tanks, and more. I know at least a couple of the styles will be part of the restock and you can shop these amazing beanies now. I am v excited for the rest to resurface!

I'm very happy to be a brand affiliate with PLM, which means I get to share upcoming releases and my promo code with ya'all: use code WISH10 to save 10% on all orders!

5. Padme Cameo! // Natalie Portman on SNL

I am a huge SNL fan, as well as The Lonely Island, so I was beyond hyped when Natalie Portman not only made another rap video but that it also included another Padme cameo! These videos are definitely rated PG-13 but I love them so much. If you are interested, watch the first one from 12 years ago and then the new one from this past weekend, just so you have a little more context ;) I also 100% just remembered, as I typed this post, that I once made a lip sync youtube video (on the Photobooth program, of course!) to the original rap... then I got in trouble and my dad made me take it down. Except that I didn't take it down and it totally exists (with 800 views!! who the heck is watching it??) but I am not going to post the link because it is embarrassing and could lead you to watch my other high school videos that are super cringe. LOL... teenage Kaitlin was really hardcore guys.

6. Choose your side... // Stewart Avenue

One of my new small shop favs is Stewart Avenue! They have a great collection of embroidered designs on comfort colors tees... amazing quality & super comfy. I had the hardest time choosing which side to choose for this tee... but I went with the First Order because I love Kylo Ren a little too much. Follow the shop on IG to see new releases and shop opening dates!

Well, that's all for now, folks! Looking forward to compiling more lists like these in the future :)

Xoxo || Kaitlin
