Holiday Gift Guide #4: Gifts for Her

This will be hard hard Gift Guide to narrow down, as I fall in the "her" category and I want everything! Duh. I figured I could provide two examples of categories and some fun finds within those, including pertinent Cyber Monday deal information. If you miss out on some of the sales tomorrow (and they may be extended beyond in some cases), there will be plenty more during the Holiday shopping season, it seems like each year there are more and more sales, which is fantastic.
Here we go:

Let's Start with the Trimmings:

A gal always needs her accessories, trimmings if you will. If you are a boyfriend or husband, you must know that a piece of jewelry is a perfect gift if you are totally stumped of what to do otherwise. You need to know what jewelry the lady in question prefers, however... does she like statement necklaces like the ones at J. Crew and Factory stores (both are having great sales by the way)? Or is she more into the classic pearl look (just discovered Goodnight Macaroon, look for their 20% promo code)? Take a peak in her jewelry box if you are unsure, but you can always ask a sister or mom, too! :) Also, cute cold weather gear is a must, especially for the ladies that live in the colder states (like me, wah!) - a cute pom pom or bow hat can be fun and practical, same with scarves! Accessories are a good bet when it comes to gifts for the women in our lives - they can easily be molded into the style of each unique woman.

Attire Galore:

Sticking with classic pieces is the way to go when buying clothing as a gift. Unless you know specific pieces your loved one wants, I would stick with neutral pieces. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a LBD (little black dress), just try to figure out what silhouette/style suits the recipient best (watch hemlines if she is older or more conservative) -- I love this drop waist style from Old Navy and everything is 40% there (plus Gap and Banana Republic) . A classic sweater (turtle neck, boat neck, cable knit, etc.) is always a good gift as well, perhaps try a pattern or fun color if you want to risk a little more ;) I love this turtle neck from ON! Loft also has great pick for classic items, but they do a swell job at mixing classic with a little bit of edge. This lace sleeve top or metallic mini skirt would be fun options, plus Loft is 50% for the cyber holiday!

Do check out my Etsy Holiday Gift Guide, there are a ton of good "gifts for her" on that post as well! As usual, non-tangible gifts are always good! Make her an extra special dinner, bring her flowers, take her to see a musical/concert/movie that you said you'd never see... if you are a guy, then going that extra mile is better than spending that extra dollar. For girls getting girls gifts, it tends to be a little easier, but you can take that advice, too ;) Have fun on Cyber Monday!
